You cannot operate in the spirit of kingdom excellence without the spirit of the Kingdom of GOD

operating in you. ~ Towanda Coles

There are a plethora of great examples of leadership excellence we could all glean from both in
the marketplace and in the church. However, the greatest leader of all time is Jesus Christ.
Hands down no one will ever come close to the way He personified the epitome of leadership
excellence. He demonstrated what servant leadership looked like leaving us a perfect example
to follow.

Good leaders must first become good servants.

Before we can begin to uncover effective ways to operate in the spirit of Kingdom Excellence, it
goes without saying that serving GOD’s people requires you to serve His people His way. In
order to serve GOD’s way, you must receive direction from Him. It goes without saying that
servant leaders must make time with GOD a priority.

Are you living with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule and aching with the sadness of an
underwhelmed soul?"~ Lysa Terkuerst

Fervent prayer, diligent Bible Study, personal worship and spiritual fasting are disciplines that
every servant leader should make a priority. It is important that those who serve GOD’s people
engage in consistent communion with GOD. We must ensure that we are plugged in to the One
who enables us to lead His people with power and humility. We dare not mishandle the citizens
of the kingdom with carnality and fleshly wisdom. Kingdom business is serious work and is not
for the faint of heart.

Those who are spiritually mature will ensure that what’s important to GOD becomes
important to them.

Servant leadership is not about you. It’s about service to GOD’s people, His way. The citizens of
the kingdom of GOD are special to the Lord and He has commissioned an elite group of
extraordinary people to lead them. At the core of Kingdom Excellence is the heart to serve
others.

The bottom line is this; operating in the spirit of Kingdom Excellence is summed up in four
words;

Love GOD. Love People.
